Inspiration is Everywhere
Making a mixtape that relates to life situations and references on art/music/film/cool stuff, sharing creative recommendations, making art, and hosting my radio show, Electric Radio Club.
The Pocast Theme this week is Yellow Brick Road. I've been thinking about my path as an artist. This is where I would like to travel. Sometimes, okay most times, it's not always inspiring to create, but it's a must. I got to get on that creative plane.
It's easy to brush off, (no pun instead) an art project after working your day job. I force myself down into my studio space to dabble at something. I have to schedule time to play. This is a silkscreen series that I am expermenting with and will consist of several different portraits. For now, I'm playing with this image from the Alfred Hitchcock film, To Catch a Thief. I am enjoying this process but already running low on ink. Silkscreening is an expensive hobby but I love it. I can't create art on a iPad. I need to get my hands dirty. It's a feeling of accomplishment. My goal is to these pieces of work into an art space or gallery. This particular piece hasn't hooked yet....meaning I'm sure what direction it's going. I need to keep experimenting like a scientist. 11/15/2022 11:30:09 am
