Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Joi is a multi-hyphenate artist, writer and radio deejay.
From painting to fashion design to video art, Joi considers herself a Renaissance woman of DIY.
Her work has been shown in spaces such as the Joslyn Art Museum, the Cadillac Theater, Kaneko and selected by groups like General Motors, Millwork Commons , local film festivals and publications.
Her radio show, Electric Radio Club, provides a mixtape of indie and alternative music while finding inspiration in song lyrics, artists, musicians, movie lines and story plots.

From musicians to poets to magazine publishers, these women cover a variety of topics in their writing. Invitations to submit a song by a female act went out via DM, and the response was touching, to say the least. The strong, hopeful, vulnerable, and defiant song choices take you on a journey that encapsulates 2024 through their ears.
