Joi was not accepted into art school because of her math skills.
So she created her own opportunities.
Since age eighteen, her artwork has been displayed in museums, film festivals, publications and public spaces.
From painting to fashion design to video art, Joi considers herself a bit of a Renaissance woman as she enjoys working in many art disciplines.
Her work is influenced by song lyrics.
She loves translating a sound into a vision. Check out her work here.
She also hosts and produces a radio show called Electric Radio Club. It's a multi-genre playlist of retro tracks, upcoming artists and hidden music gems along thoughtful soliloquies and sharing inspiration found in song lyrics.
