Music and fashion go hand-in-hand.
One of my goals is to do more public speaking. So when I saw opportunity to talk about my loves music and fashion history at the Grunge Included Conference in the UK, I decided to submit an abstract to present. My submission was accepted and in September 2026, I ventured to York, UK to give my presentation amongst other amazing writers and researchers at York St. John's University.
What I loved about this conference is that it was open to anyone outside of the academia world.
There has been lots of interest around my presentation.
I'm looking forward to turning my presentation into a mini podcast series.

Artist, Music curator, host and producer, Joi (pronounced as Jo-Ee) grew up in a household that always had music playing. She has been a music junkie since the days of when MTV played music videos and memorizing the list of bands advertised of Music Compilation Box Set infomercials. Electric Radio Club was born out of her love of making mixtapes for friends because she wanted them to discover and support new bands! |
